Taipei to sun moon lake

hey friends so we are on route from taipei taiwan to sun moon lake which supposedly is a must see in taiwan. Just search up pics on google and you will see! So after spending a nice relaxing morning in taipei and eating a local breaky which consists of this fried bread similar to naan bread and a friend egg omelet with green onions and to top it off a chinese fried doughnut that you would normally eat with congee. So the egg and the chinese fried doughnut are wrapped in the nan bread and omg let me tell you how oily and fatty I felt after eating it...it was delicious but so not nutritious!!, ohh and the place we went to had a line up that wrapped down the stairs all the way out the door. Have to wait a good 20 mins. Worth it for the experience and to see what eating traditional breakfast here is like. Anyway so our plan is to head to sun moon lake. We take the MTR to the main station and figure we would catch a direct bus using king bus services. Couldn't find any schedule online and when we called in we got this fax ringing noise. So whatever we figure lets buy our tickets there. Get there at noon and informed the bus leaves at. 10:00 am and 15:00 respectively. So we totally miss our shot and then decided to take a bus to taichung the closest city to sun moon and take a connecting bus to sun moon. The price from taipei to taichung is 220 NTD. Which is equivalent to just under $10 CAD. And from there it costs 190 NTD one way to sun moon or 340NTD round trip . So i am  currently on the bus and blogging about the king bus station non sense. Still a good bus to ride with but def lacks proper info for travellers. So excited to do some biking around sun moon on a giant bike hopefully! Will post about that shortly.
